We encourage all raceday guests to dress up, with a sense of occasion. In Public Areas, smart casual attire is appropriate.

The following dress code applies in all Member areas, private boxes and function areas to ensure a premium raceday experience for all.

Dress code for ladies

Kindly note that denim, joggers, shorts, jeans, cargo pants, leggings, hooded jumpers, torn or ripped clothing, thongs, sports shoes, unclean or untidy footwear, activewear, singlets and caps are not permitted in Member areas.

  • Dress or skirt length is to be no shorter than mid to lower thigh; no excessive midriffs or playsuits (shorts)
  • Neat trousers and full-length jumpsuits may be worn, with the exception of denim
  • Headwear is always encouraged
Dress code for gentlemen

Kindly note that denim, joggers, polo shirts, shorts, jeans, cargo pants, hooded jumpers, torn or ripped clothing, thongs, sports shoes, unclean or untidy footwear, activewear, singlets and caps are not permitted in Member areas.

  • Collared button-down business or formal shirts
  • Tailored trousers and covered dress shoes
  • Appropriate formal headwear is encouraged, such as trilby, beret, fedora, homburg, bowler, panama or top hats; however, caps may not be worn indoors.

Belmont Park Racecourse has a more relaxed dress standard due to the colder weather in the winter months. In the Mounting Yard only, industry personnel and trainers are permitted to wear denim during the winter racing season.

Everyone is welcome at Ascot and Belmont Park Racecourse. Perth Racing is committed to the continual improvement of our facilities for the ease and enjoyment of all racegoers.
ACROD parking bays, accessible toilets and parents’ baby-change facilities are available at Ascot and Belmont Park Racecourse.

If you are dining in Flying Colours Restaurant, you must follow the Member Dress Code. There is no dress code for other food outlets accessible in General Admission. For more information on Race Day attire visit our dedicated what to wear page.
Your Member car pass provides complimentary parking in our Member car parks on all racedays at Ascot and Belmont Park Racecourse throughout the season (1 August-31 July). Please ensure your car pass sticker is clearly displayed on your windscreen at all times. Gold Members do receive an allocated bay at Ascot Racecourse, while all other Members are welcome to purchase a gold car bay for $440 per season. If you would like to purchase a gold car bay, please contact the Membership team. At Ascot Racecourse, we have Member parking via Gate 3 on Grandstand Road, as well as Gate 5 on Matheson Road. ACROD parking is available via Gate 3, which is the closest gate to the Grandstand. At Belmont Park Racecourse, Member parking flows on from Saintly Entrance where our friendly staff will direct you. ACROD parking is available in the first row of bays in the Member car park, next to the bus shelter.
