Transperth bus or train
You can get to Ascot Racecourse via various bus and train options. Buses on Fremantle Station Circle Routes 998 and 999 stop outside Ascot Racecourse on Grandstand Road. Several bus routes also run from Burswood train station along Great Eastern Hwy which is just a short walk to the racecourse. Car or motorbike
Ascot Racecourse is a 15-minute drive from the Perth CBD. Free public parking is available at Gate 1 off Grandstand Road or Gate 6 off Matheson Road and Gate 5 off Resolution Drive. Free Member parking is Via Gate 3 off Grandstand Road and Gate 5 off Resolution Drive – Member Parking Passes must be displayed to access. ACROD bays are available in all parking lots and users must display a valid ACROD permit.
Taxi or rideshare
If you are travelling by taxi or rideshare, please arrive and depart from Gate 6 Matheson Road.
Bicycle
You’ll find dedicated bike lanes and bike-friendly trails around Ascot Racecourse, including across the Garratt Road Bridge and between the venue and the Swan River foreshore.
Private bus
Private buses can drop off and pick up via Matheson Road Gate 6. Please follow the direction of Security and Parking Attendants on arrival.
Shuttle bus
A shuttle bus runs from Burswood train station to the Matheson Road entry of Ascot Racecourse (Gate 6) from 10am to 1pm on racedays. Return shuttles from the Matheson Road Gate run to Burswood train station from 3pm to 6pm on racedays.
Venue accessibility

Everyone is welcome at Ascot Racecourse. Perth Racing is committed to the continual improvement of our facilities for the ease and enjoyment of all racegoers.

A back-of-house lift is available to access upper levels of the Grandstand. Please speak to a Perth Racing Security team member for assistance.

Accessible toilets are available on all levels of the Grandstand and multiple locations around the racecourse.

Baby change stations are located on the ground and first floors of the Grandstand inside the accessible toilets.

Venue gates and parking
  • Gate 1 Grandstand Road is a public entrance gate, with public parking available. 
  • Gate 3 Grandstand Road is the main Member Car Park and the closest to the Grandstand Member areas, with reserved bays for Gold Members near the entrance. 
  • Gate 4 Grandstand Road is a public pedestrian gate only. 
  • Gate 5 is for additional Member car parking only on major Carnival days. Member Car Parks can fill quickly, and we cannot guarantee parking will always be available. 
  • Gate 6 Matheson Road is the most popular public entrance gate with lots of free parking. 
  • Taxis and rideshare cars must drop off at the Matheson Road entry, Gate 6. Those entering via Gates 3 and 5 must display a Member car pass to enter and park.
