Perth Racing has appointed experienced sports and racing executive Nick Ristovic as its new General Manager of Marketing & Communications, bringing more than 20 years’ experience across leading sporting organisations in Australia.
Ristovic’s career spans professional sport and racing, having held roles with the Fremantle Football Club, Perth Wildcats, the Australian Football League and the Melbourne Racing Club (MRC).
During seven years with MRC, Ristovic served as Membership and Customer Engagement Manager, helping deliver record membership growth for the club during his tenure. He then returned to WA, establishing himself at Racing WA as Customer Loyalty Manager, where he worked across both the racing ownership and wagering sectors, driving initiatives to strengthen engagement with racing audiences.
Ristovic brings a strong passion for thoroughbred racing, alongside significant expertise in CRM, marketing, data management and membership strategy, developed across multiple sporting codes.
Perth Racing CEO James Oldring said Ristovic’s experience across sport and racing made him a valuable addition to the organisation at an executive level.
“Nick brings a deep understanding of sporting audiences and how to build strong connections between racing community, members and major events. His experience across some of Australia’s leading sporting organisations, combined with his passion for racing, will be invaluable as we continue to grow Perth Racing’s brand, achieve commercial impact and engage new audiences,” Oldring said.
Ristovic said he was excited to contribute to the next phase of Perth Racing’s growth.
“Perth Racing is a progressive racing club with a rich history. It’s a great privilege to join the executive team and represent the best interests of the club’s loyal Members and key stakeholders. I look forward to leveraging my experience in the racing industry and building on the great work already achieved at the Club.”
Ristovic will commence in the role on 7 April 2026.
